WHY HIRE A BOARD CERTIFIED CIVIL TRIAL ATTORNEY?
In Texas out of some 70,000 attorneys, only about 7,000 are Board Certified. In Collin County, there are only about 20 attorneys who are Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, some of whom are currently serving as judges. To be Board Certified, an attorney must have practiced for a minimum number of years, must have tried a minimum number of civil trials to conclusion (jury and non-jury), must pass a written examination and must have received favorable recommendations from fellow attorneys and judges. Recertification is required every five years. Daniel B. Jones has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law since 1992.
